Why prices move, and why cities differ

The rates are attributed to IndianOil. LPG prices are influenced by international benchmark rates and currency movements.

Prices differ from city to city, so the exact amount on your bill may not match the Delhi figure. Your distributor's bill is the final word.

Why it matters

  • Commercial LPG is a cost for restaurants, sweet shops and caterers during the busiest festive weeks, which can show up in what they charge.

What remains uncertain

  • Kolkata's revised rates were not in the reports checked.
  • Prices can be revised again in later months.
