PM-KISAN 24th instalment: what is confirmed, what is not, and how to make sure you get it
No date has been announced for the 24th PM-KISAN instalment of ₹2,000. The 23rd instalment was paid on 20 June 2026. Reports expect the next one in October, but that is an estimate, not an official date. What farmers can do now is check their status and complete e-KYC, because payments are held back when e-KYC, land records or Aadhaar bank linking are incomplete.

The 22nd instalment was released on 13 March 2026 from Guwahati in Assam: ₹18,640 crore to about 9 crore 32 lakh farmers.
The 23rd instalment was released on 20 June 2026 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Tarakeswar in West Bengal's Hooghly district: more than ₹18,880 crore to over 9.44 crore farmers.
When will the 24th instalment come?
The government has not announced a date. Reports expect the payment in October 2026, based on the scheme's four-monthly cycle, but no date has been officially confirmed. Treat any specific date shared online as unconfirmed until the government announces it.
What to check now
e-KYC is mandatory. It can be done with an OTP on the PM-KISAN portal or app, biometrically at a Common Service Centre or State Seva Kendra, or by face authentication in the mobile app. Land records must be seeded on the portal, and the bank account must be linked with Aadhaar.
Payments can be held back pending physical verification in some cases, for example where land was acquired after 1 February 2019, or where more than one member of a family, such as husband and wife, is receiving the benefit.
To check your status, open 'Know Your Status' (or 'Beneficiary Status') on the official PM-KISAN portal, enter your registration number or registered mobile number and verify with the OTP. The page shows eligibility, e-KYC status and payment details.
Why it matters
- More than nine crore farmer families receive PM-KISAN, and an incomplete e-KYC or unlinked bank account can hold back their ₹2,000.
What remains uncertain
- The October timing is an expectation based on past cycles, not an official announcement.
- Showtt could not open the official PM-KISAN portal, whose security certificate did not verify, so portal steps are taken from published reports.
